BNRU Climbs the BRICS Academic Rankings

The QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) University Ranking system is a well-established and respected assessor in education. It has recently started to rank BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) universities as a group. This year saw the list expanding to 400, with the Russian Federation featuring 101 universities, up from 68, with 24 featuring in the Top 100. Our University shares 195^th with the University of Punjab in India) and Uberlândia Federal University in Brazil. Points are scored for academic reputation, reputation among employers, the staff-student ratio, the percentage of employees with a scientific degree, the number of publications per staff member, the number of citations per published article, the proportion of foreign staff, and the proportion of foreign students.
