Dmitry Taryanik attended the 9th National Conference on Pro Bono Legal Provision, hosted by Moscow State University, where he was a guest speaker
His report, entitled 'A Plan for the Development of Pro Bono Legal Provision in Russia and Prospects for its Implementation', was delivered to one of the fringe meetings of the conference. In his report, he outlined the problems endemic to more rural areas, including a lack of regulation and enforceable national standards.
His main duty dispensed with, Mr Taryanik was an active participant in workshops and seminars, which were aimed squarely at giving lawyers knowledge of a practical nature. He also attended plenary sessions devoted to more mainstream legal matters. His participation in the Conference was commemorated by a certificate, but Mr Taryanik considers his new-found knowledge to be of more value, in his capacity as a member of BNRU's Legal Research Laboratory. He also linked his team to a new organisation called 'Interactive Teaching for Law Students'.
