Ilya Yegorov, from the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technology, went to Kemerovo to address the 19th National Young Scientist Conference on Mathematical Modelling and Information Technology
The conference attracts young specialists from all corners of the Russian Federation, and is run by the Russian Academy of Sciences' (RAS) IT Institute. Mr Yegorov delivered a report entitled 'Optimising System-Object Simulation Models'. The report presented the results of research work on the development of the 'UFOModeler' software system, a commercial processes and systems simulator.
Professor Mikhail Ulyanov, from RAS' IT Institute, was suitably impressed by the implications of this new system, commenting that,
“Appropriate and user-friendly simulators are of vital importance in streamlining industrial processes, and will contribute to reducing waste and energy consumption.”
