Following in the footsteps of the President, three BNRU Postgraduates travelled to Uzbekistan to participate in the 'Cooperation, Initiative and Innovation' Youth Forum, building on agreements signed at all levels between our countries
The Youth Forum was held in three cities, Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara, and is part of a program building closer ties with Uzbekistan, initiated by President Putin in October of this year. This forum is a joint project organised by Unions of Youth of Uzbekistan and Russia. Kristina Danilova, Andrei Zdorovtsov, and Vladislav Soldatov were among 82 delegates arriving from Russia to participate in a four day program, which included visits to businesses and cultural sights of interest. The first Uzbek-Russian Youth Business Forum was held during the trip, and resulted in more than 65 agreements between Uzbek and Russian entrepreneurs.
The delegation visited the cities of Bukhara and Samarkand, where they took part in seminars on 'Modern Trends in Youth Media' and 'The Role of Youth in the Expansion of Tourism Between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan'. The forum was the ideal place for delegates to share their experiences in tourism, media and business. Russian IT experts discussed the problems of information dissemination, the role and importance of the Internet in establishing intergovernmental dialogue, combating global challenges on the Internet, and the work of a journalist in covering global events. We look forward to the launch of the Russian-Uzbek Youth Information Portal, which will build on a great start.
