World Class Science Rewarded

The awards, sponsored by Elsevier, are given to the most quoted and published academics in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Russia. The number of published articles is indexed using Scopus, the world's largest multidisciplinary abstract database. Professor Kaybyshev, Head of the Mechanical Properties of Nanostructured and Heat Resistant Materials Laboratory, was the most cited academic in the 'Engineering and Technology' category. Mr Stepanov, a Senior Research Fellow working at the Bulk Nanostructured Materials Laboratory, was the most highly cited young scientist in Russia, an astonishing achievement for a postgraduate.
