A Visit from the Times Higher Education Rating Agency

He was met by Professor Andrei Peresypkin, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development Programs, who gave him an extensive tour of the University, including our permanent science exhibitions, the Museum of History, the Geological and Mineralogical Museum, and the Pharmacology of Living Systems Research Institute.

After the tour, Professor Oleg Polukhin, Rector of BNRU, chaired a meeting in his honour, which involved the all of the Department and Institute Directors who had played a role in propelling Belgorod State University into the THE rankings, and the University Vice-Rectors. The Rector gave a brief overview of the university’s positioning in Russian and international ratings and made it clear that the ratings criteria are the guiding principle when planning academic programs, and future development strategy. Mr Caruana then gave a presentation on the creation, goals, activities and history of the THE. After lunch, he visited BelSUU's 'Technopark' the home of our high-tech companies and our Open Engineering School.
