Lecturing on Eurasian Economics in Moscow

The lecture was on 'Border Cooperation in the Eurasian Economic Union', and was sponsored by the Centre for Comprehensive European and International Studies which reports to the Eurasian Economic Commission, an organ of the Eurasian Economic Union. Dr Sapryka gave an overview of interaction within the Union, reviewed successful cross-border cooperation involving Belgorod Region, and looked at various modern models of cross-border interaction.
The Centre acts as a focus for research and education, and December is a month when a series of discussions and lecture programs draw researchers from across the Union. The upshot will be a report compiling the data and a compendium of the papers involved under the heading 'A Vision of the Future of the Eurasian Economic Union through Science and Education'. The aim is to delineate detailed plans for closer integration, and assess prospects for development.
