Seasonal Gifts for Sick Children

The visit is a follow-up to the charity concert held at BSU in December. The proceeds were used to buy gifts for the Region's children fighting cancer. The students put on a concert for the patients and handed out presents in the traditional manner. They spent time chatting to the kids, and trying to inspire them. Mr Hammud is an athlete studying at the Faculty of Physical Education, and Ms Sarmiento is studying at the Medical Institute. The event was was sponsored by the University's Centre for Cross-Cultural Communication and the Sociology Department.
