Foreign students from Belgorod State University visited local disabled children in the No. 19 Family Library to share their culture and chat to each other
The visit was part of the on-going community outreach program known as 'Warm Words and Good Deeds'. The children enjoyed a presentation of national dances and songs, and then had a chance to meet the students and chat about life in Belgorod compared with their own countries, and about the future. The children were brought by the 'Warm Soul' charity. The students gave out gifts to the kids before they left.
The success of the event has led to the Library and the University agreeing to hold regular cultural events aimed at introducing local children to foreign students in order to promote mutual understanding and friendship. The events will include performances, songs, and samples of local cuisine.
