Student's Day

25th January is Student's Day in Russia, and Belgorod State University will be marking the occasion with a full program of events, some suggested by the students themselves, and some informed by tradition

The day will start with a prayer service in the Archangel Gabriel Chapel, and the Khorkhina Sports Centre will host a number of sports competitions starting in the morning. In the afternoon, the Youth Cultural Centre will host events suggested by students, which will include flash mobs, karaoke, a photo gallery, and quizzes. The closing ceremony of the festival will in corporate the end of the 'Year of the Volunteer', and will have performances and speeches. The day will be rounded off with the 'Vivaldi Vortex' Ball, hosted in the Assembly Hall of the Sociology and Theology Faculty from 6pm. The students have been preparing for a while, and fun is guaranteed.
