Nursing student Alyona Slepukhina, from Belgorod State University's Medical College, won a bronze medal at the WorldSkills Russia Regional 'Young Professionals' Championship
This is the third time our Region has held this event, which puts professionals through their paces in front of expert judges. The standards are exacting, and are designed to test the limits of your competence in your chosen profession. Ms Slepukhina and her fellow student Albina Cherednichenko were competing in one of 18 competitions being held at 16 venues across the Region. The 'Young Professionals' WorldSkills program is for people in Higher Education only, and success, or mere participation, will impress a future employer.
Their 'Medical and Social Care' category was hosted at the Stary Oskol Medical College. Two of our colleagues, Irina Kumargey and Irina Shentseva, were part of the judging panel. The prizes were awarded by the Governor of the Region, Evgeny Savchenko, underlining the prestige attached to this competition.
