The value of Belgorod State University's medical training was ably demonstrated, as our students won the majority of prizes at the Regional stage of the National Professional Skills Competition
Stary Oskol Medical College was the venue for the competition, which test students in the medical skills they will need in their future careers. The event ran for two days and involved all the medical colleges in the Region. It was a chance for students to be assessed on their knowledge of Nursing, Pharmacology, and Orthodontics. It was also a chance for teachers to pool their knowledge in a series of seminars and meetings, and representatives from Regional medical businesses had a chance to meet future employees and the people training them. One such forum entitled 'Enthusing Student Learning Through Extracurricular Work' was chaired by Dr Elena Borzykh and Dr Elena Paphenroth, from our own Medical College. This competition is part of the systematic way universities and businesses are able to communicate their ideas to each other and the community at large.
