Belgorod State University hosted the 'RoboStart' festival, which drew 200 participants from across the Region, to test their robot designs against each other, and to try to overcome difficult tasks
The 4skills event was run by the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technology in conjunction with Regional Government. The event was open to anyone in secondary or higher education, and 27 of our engineering students took part. The event is part of the Region's promotion of robotics and engineering as a boost to the local economy. Dr Igor Konstantinov, Vice-Rector for Science, teamed up with Dr Konstantin Polshchikov, director of the Institute, to make the event a success, and show the University's commitment to the project.
The young engineers presented their designs, and competed in robot football, shooting trajectories with inversion, a rally of robots, robot maths, navigating in a cube, and 3D modelling. The event was a big hit among the students and staff, and prioritised safety for all concerned. There was also a fanzone where you could relax and watch the action. Everyone was a winner in the end, and the students got to experience the advantages of the 4skills educational platform.
