Advanced Teaching Skills

The event was sponsored by the host university and the 'First of September' publishing house. The student teachers aim to teach history and social studies. Among the noteworthy lecturers, they got to hear from prolific author Dr Roman Pazin, from the HSE University Lyceum, and Dr Jan Soloviev, an expert on mediaeval history from Moscow State Regional University. Dr Soloviev shared his vast experience of preparing students for the highest levels of the Unified State Exam.

The day also involved touring an exhibition of 'Media Collection' teaching materials and artefacts prepared by Dr Elena Svetich, the head of Resources at the National Centre for Innovation in Teaching. Days like this give students valuable extra insight into their profession, and tips on how to get the best out of their students.
