Igor Nekrylov, Marina Baksheeva and Svetlana Tsapkova from Belgorod State University went to Velikiye Luki near Pskov, to take part in the 4th annual 'MEDICA MENTE' student medical skills competition
This year, students from Latvia, Belarus and Russia arrived at the city's Medical College to demonstrate their 'General Medicine' skills. Our team was from the Medical College of the Medical Institute. Our colleague Tamara Bakhristova joined the jury. The students were put through their paces on their ability to carry out prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases. They were tested on their knowledge of the theory, but the focus of the jury was on solving clinical problems and a demonstration of their practical skills. The hosts won the competition, with our team second. Polotsk Medical College from Belarus, came in third.
