BelSU in the mainstream of information policy

The seminar-meeting of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on the topic: “On the Strengthening of the Role of Universities in the Formation of State Informational Scientific, Educational and Youth Policy” gathered representatives of subordinate educational organizations. Vice-rectors in charge of the university’s information policy and representatives of university press services were invited to a professional dialogue. BelSU was represented by an adviser to the administration, acting Vice-rector for the implementation of strategic development programs Andrei Peresypkin and Director of the Center for the Development of Publishing Activity and Scientific and Publishing Activities Stanislav Sivakov.

More than 400 participants from 230 universities from 85 regions of the country gathered at the Central House of Scientists. The 8-hour intensive program included 12 blocks, each of which took place in an interactive format. The experts were Assistant to the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Raifa Bitkova, Director of the Project Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia Andrei Zarubin, Head of TASS-Science Editorial Board Andrei Reznichenko, Head of VKontakte Educational Projects Alsu Garifullina, Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Company QS Zoya Zaitseva, PR-manager of educational projects, Yandex Daria Galybina, Deputy Director of the Department of Youth Policy of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia Vitaly Gyshkin etc.

BelSU is in the mainstream of the Ministry’s information policy. In 2019, Belgorod State University is ready to start implementing a comprehensive intra-university project “Promoting the reputation and brand of Belgorod State University in the global information space”. A special place in it is given to building scientific communication between the university and government, the scientific community, business partners, and socially significant organizations. In October, the project will be submitted to the Scientific Council of Belgorod State University.

The key event of the seminar was a Public-talk with the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Mikhail Kotyukov. The moderator of the conversation was the vice-rector of UrFU Alexey Fayustov. The meeting participants asked the head of the department their questions about the tasks and challenges facing the modern system of higher education in the country, the competitiveness of Russian education in the world market, the need for productive interaction between universities and regional leaders, academic science and industrial partners; about projects of federal significance aimed at developing a system of social elevators - this is only part of the topics that were raised in the course of communication with the Minister.
