Students of BelSU Faculty of Psychology have developed case studies with tasks for more than 300 Belgorod elderlies as part of the project "The School of Public Activity"
The “Third Age Institute” project was organized by the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Belgorod Region, the Department of Social Protection of the City of Belgorod, and the psychological service of the Belgorod State University. More than 300 elderlies studied at the Yunost suburban camp.
Elderly people, with the help of volunteer psychologists from the student psychological service of Belgorod State Research University, lost cases of traffic accidents, analyzed the psychology of pedestrians and drivers, and learned to assess the traffic situation.
In the final part, each working group presented its case for all participants.
In total, over 500 elderlies from Belgorod will become students of the initial road safety course. Classes will be held from September to November.
