Belgorod State University's Medical Institute organised a day for graduating medical students to meet with their future employers in the state and private sector
The heads of all of the major hospitals and clinics across the Region either came to the University themselves, or sent a representative. The heads of the Regional Government's health departments were also there. Each gave an account of the benefits of working for their departments, clinics, or hospitals. Much of this information was not new to the students, but it was interesting for them to compare and contrast the different organisations, and was a reminder of why they are so valued, ahead of preparation for their finals next summer.
Family Medicine is currently undergoing restructuring across the Region, so the meeting also served as enlightenment on that issue, and Regional supremoes were able to field questions relevant to the changes. More generally, details of relocation schemes to rural areas, residencies, and vocational training issues also came up.
