In honour of World Theatre Day, a special event was held at the BelSU Institute of Social Sciences and Mass Communications, supported by the Belgorod branch of the All-Russian Society for the promotion of knowledge.
The meeting featured renowned theatre actresses Tatyana Kolcheva and Veronika Vasilyeva.
In his welcoming remarks, Sergey Borisov, the director of the BelSU Institute of Social Sciences and Mass Communications and chairman of the Belgorod branch of the ZNANIE All-Russian Society, emphasized the significance of the occasion.
“We are delighted to be transforming our institute into a platform where invited guests can share their creative achievements with a broad audience. Today’s event provides an opportunity to delve deeper into the history of theatre and gain insights into the art of acting from outstanding artists,” Borisov stated.
During the meeting, the actresses recounted their early theatrical experiences, the challenges they faced, and the traditions observed before stepping onto the stage. They also discussed how to effectively apply acting skills in everyday life. Attendees were curious about the actresses’ personal lives and how they balance family responsibilities with their careers. Both actresses shared that they seamlessly integrate their creative and everyday roles.
“This meeting left a warm and memorable impression. Being in such a beautiful hall and surrounded by an incredible atmosphere made me feel like a character from a fairy tale – one not of modern times, but a true historical figure. I view the beginning of our collaboration with the ZNANIE All-Russian Society as very promising, and I hope we can continue this delightful partnership,” remarked Tatyana Kolcheva.
The discussion also explored themes such as dedication to the profession, the joys and challenges of acting, and the unique aspects of working in both cinema and theatre. The actresses fondly recalled many prominent actors from the Belgorod Drama Theatre and shared their experiences filming “Union of Salvation” in the Belgorod Region.
As the event concluded, both the Institute’s management and guests expressed their hope that such engaging dialogues with the audience will occur frequently in the future.
