Belgorod State University's Concert Hall was the venue for a concert arranged by international students that showcased the talent our university attracts from around the world. The theme was 'Life Is Good', and the group called themselves 'Stellar Algorithm'
The group is already into its 7th year, and was founded by Dr Anna Yaduta. She wanted a way of integrating students in her department (Mathematics), and music is maths after all. Soon the project was opened to students of all departments, and now there are students from 10 countries involved in singing and dancing. The stand-out moments from this years concert were a duet between Mohammedsalah Al Tamemi and Yesenia Spasova, and a rendition of 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight' by Dique Joshua. Students sang in Russian, English, and their native languages. Many of the songs featured choreography or videos. There was a sense of reunion in the air, as former stars of the show sent video messages from East Asia and Africa. The evening was rounded off with guest spots for a choir from a local school, a flute ensemble called 'Funny Notes', and a University group known as 'Twice Two'.
