A scientific article by a student of the Department of International Relations, Foreign Regional Studies and Political Science of The Institute of Cross-cultural Communications and International Relations was recognized to be the best in the thematic area “South Caucasus Region and Russian-Armenian strategic relations”
Artur Avanesov became one of the winners of the international contest “The Best Article by a Young Political Scientist-2019”, which was organized by the “Russian Political Science” journal (Moscow) together with the ANCO “Laboratory for Humanitarian Research”. Students, teachers and young teachers from Russia and other countries took part in the competition.
The journal’s expert council recognized the article “New Trends in Russian-Armenian Relations after the “Velvet Revolution” in Armenia” by Artur Avanesov as the best in the thematic area “South Caucasus Region and Russian-Armenian Strategic Relations”. Winners will receive the right to publish an article in a special issue of the Russian Political Science journal, indexed at the RSCI. Student’s supervisor of studies, lecturer at the Department of International Relations, Foreign Regional Studies and Political Science Roman Travin was also commended.
According to Arthur, this competition provides an opportunity to prove oneself, to find useful connections among the scientific community and gain experience.
- It is nice that our article was highly appreciated by experts and the project team is willing to contact the authors. This competition is annual, held for the second time, but has already gained fame in the professional environment. I think that I will participate next year as well, - said Artur.
