The Intercultural Communication Council held at the NRU “BelSU”

The meeting of the Intercultural Communication Council addressed the matters of CIC based healthy lifestyle promotion and prevention of asocial manifestations and suicidal behavior among foreign students of the Belgorod State University.

The director of the Center for Intercultural Communication, curator of the Arab community, Elena Nazarenko, stated that promotion of a healthy lifestyle and prevention of antisocial manifestations in the student community is one of the main priorities for the Center for Intercultural Communication.

The foreign communities’ curators spoke about their experience in promoting sports and healthy lifestyle among students. Chairperson of the Intercultural Communication Council, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Youth Policy Svetlana Ostrikova, recommended continuing working in this direction involving all community members.

During the meeting, they also talked about the multicultural education system at the university. Svetlana Ostrikova noted the great role of the Center for Intercultural Communication, the Youth Cultural Center and foreign communities’ curators in organizing leisure activities for foreign students, involving them in sports, creative and social activities, creating favorable conditions for their comprehensive development and prevention of destructive behavior.
