The NRU “BelSU” has improved its position in the inventive activity rating

Belgorod State University has significantly improved its position in the 2020 Russian universities inventive activity ranking, rising from group 23-26 to group10-11 together with the National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI”.

Inventive activity assessment is based on an analysis of the universities’ activities in patenting. The indicators taken into account within the rating`s framework are divided into three blocks: “Quality”, “Initial conditions” (weight - 25% each) and “Demand” (weight - 50%).

It should be noted that in addition to the general rating, the NRU “BelSU” has entered the publication activity rating, otherwise known as the faculties’ rating. In 2020, the university was included in three subject ratings: in engineering sciences rating - in the group 15-16, in materials science rating - also in the group 15-16, in humanities rating in the - in the group 25-26. The NRU “BelSU” is also included in the special “Metals and Alloys” rating (group 8-11) for the second time in a row.
