Within the framework of the #Лекторий@minprosvet project, the NRU “BelSU” Associate Professor Nadezhda Zherebtsova delivered a lecture on the subject of “Coronavirus infections in humans”
The key emphasis in the stream was made on understanding the new infectious diseases agents’ origin. The speaker noted that in today's world it’s influenced by globalization and environmental changes on the planet. Nadezhda Yurievna talked about the history of the disease spreading and explained the aspects of the current pandemic caused by a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

Nadezhda Yurievna, Candidate of Medicine, analyzed the coronavirus infection mechanism in one country and its spreading on different continents. When talking about the methods of protection against COVID-19, she advised minimizing contacts with other people, checking one’s general condition, avoiding public places, using masks indoors and washing hands with soap more often than usual as the virus is extremely sensitive to disinfection. The online lecture was met with great interest among VK users from different Russian cities. It’s already been watched by about twenty thousand people and is available in the official NRU “BelSU” group in VKontakte.
