A new Chair of the University Student Union is elected

This year the elections were held in online format. Three candidates proposed themselves as candidates for the Student Union Chair, all of them representing the Student Board of BelSU Student Union – Mikhail Pomoshnikov and Viktor Kapustin, the 3-year students of the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technologies as well as Andrey Orobinskiy, a 4-year student of History and Philology Faculty, the Institute of Pedagogics. The candidates for the Chair presented their election programs and told about the planned activities for the next year.

As a result of the secret online ballot Andrey Orobinskiy was elected the Chair of the Student Board of BelSU Student Union. In his election program he focused on the activities aimed at integration of the student boards of the institutes and colleges, work of the student activist group with perspective students in the online format, so that all the initiative will enable the beginning of close collaboration with the university’s divisions.

The Director of Department for Social Policy Margarita Varfolomeeva congratulated the new youth leader and wished him success in his work in the student government at BelSU.
