Three representatives of the Institute of Earth Sciences of Belgorod State University won a prestigious scholarship in sustainable development
In 2020 the scholarship contest involved 161 candidates from 52 higher education institutions of Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The applicants’ selection was organized by 22 higher education institutions that concluded a cooperation agreement with non-government ecological foundation named after V.I. Vernadskiy. As a result 59 students and 17 doctoral students became the awardees.
The scholarship is awarded to ecology students, doctoral students and post-doctoral students as well as to students and young researchers in other fields investigating the problems of sustainable development.
Among the awardees were the 4-year students of the Institute of Earth Sciences of Belgorod State University Darya Morkovskaya, Anastasiya Shaydurova and Mikhail Sevrukov.
For the reference: In 1996 V.I. Vernadskiy Foundation founded a scholarship to be awarded to ecology students and students in other fields investigating the problems of sustainable development. In 2004 scholarships for doctoral and post-doctoral students were also founded.
