BelSU Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations held a scientific conference for students and lecturers – “Alliance in II World War: experiences and conclusions”
Among the online conference participants were lecturers and students of the Division for International Relations, Foreign Studies and Political Science. The conference program included a plenary session and a scholarly discussion to follow. The discussion moderators were Professor Vera Malay and Associate Professor Nikolay Fomichev. Olga Dekhnich, the Vice Director for Research addressed the conference participants with a word of greeting.
The major scientific challenge covered in the discussion was diplomacy in II World War. The presented reports were dedicated to the input of the anti-Hitler coalition allies in the common victory. Olga Timoshkina, the senior lecturer of the Division for International Relations, Foreign Studies and Political Science presented a report “USSR Diplomacy to Reclaim the Global Stature of France in the II World War Period”. The students’ reports covered issues of the leading members of anti-Hitler coalition intercourse, the war in Asia Pacific Area, lend-lease, Balkan countries diplomacy, pre-war international relations.
