Belgorod State University will increase the number of online consultations for the students on the eve of the mid-term exams
The agenda of the Coordination Board on the University Management under COVID-19 Conditions included such issues as advancement of education, social welfare of students, disinfection measures, organization of extra-curriculum activities for students. The meeting was held via videoconferencing and headed by BelSU Rector Oleg Polukhin. According to the Vice-Rector for Education Aleksander Mamatov the classes are based on combination of different forms of study where distance learning prevails. Alexander Mamatov told about preparations made in the classrooms in order to ensure credits and exams sittings via videoconferencing. Oleg Polukhin assigned to finalize the preparations for the mid-term exams.
“Due to the support of our digital volunteers we should provide out teaching staff with the specially prepared classrooms-studios so that they were able to consult the students on the eve of the mid-term exam and sit for credits and exams. Besides, we should assume the possibility to transfer the exam to another date in case there was a technical failure,” underlined Oleg Polukhin.
Special focus was on the quality of education in the distance learning period. Thus, some institutes will conduct extra online classes in the subjects that cause difficulties for the students. Also some types of work and tasks are being adjusted to improve the quality of learning organized via videoconferencing.
The Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Vladislav Kuchmistiy covered the issues related to the international students departure and organizing education for those who stay in their native countries. According to Vladislav Kuchmistiy much attention is given to the 1st year students who moved abroad.
