The Acting Governor of Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov presented awards to the volunteers for Disinterested Help with Organizing “#MiVmeste” All-Russian Volunteering Act
The solemn ceremony commemorating Volunteer’s Day which is celebrated on 5th December was held at Belgorod State Scientific Library. The Acting Governor of Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov handed out letters of gratitude and medals for Disinterested Help with Organizing “#MiVmeste” All-Russian Volunteering Act to the volunteers and partners of the region. The award has been established by the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin this year. Among the awardees were undergraduate students, Master students and lecturers of Belgorod State University.
Vyacheslav Gladkov underlined the selfless work of the volunteers and expressed gratitude on behalf of all the citizens of the region.
All in all among the medal awardees there were 15 students including medical volunteers and BelSU Victory volunteers and one lecturer of the Division of Sociology and Youth Management of BelSU Institute of Social Sciences and Mass Communications Dmitriy Kisilenko – the regional coordinator of the charity project “Produktovaya Pomosh”.
It is notable that over 1000 BelSU medical volunteers work in medical and preventative institutes, answer questions of the citizens as call centre operators and help elderly people during the pandemic.
