Increase of the state-funded places and fields of study

Andrey Kornilov, the Head of the Division of Geography, Geoecology and Life Safety told about the current implementation of the Division Development Program in 2020 and the goals for the upcoming year. According to Andrey Kornilov, this year the Division developed a new educational track “Technosphere Safety”, increased its research productivity by two times due to the number of publications in the journals indexed by Scopus и Web of Science and the volume of conducted research.

Referring to the goals for the next year, the Head of the Division focused on strengthening career guidance activity prompted by the increased of state-funded places allocation in 2021. As it was noted by the co-speaker Semen Kurolap, the Dean of the Faculty for Geography, Geoecology and Tourism of Voronezh State University, the Division has a consistent staff body, good facilities and all that provides for successful attainment of the goals set in both scientific and educational activity.

The Board meeting was followed by the decision to approve the updated Division Development Program for 2021.
