An evening in memory of the Honored Doctor of Russia, Professor Vladimir Kulikovsky was held at Belgorod State University
On February 23 Vladimir Kulikovsky would have turned 71 years old. He passed away in October last year. Students, pupils, colleagues, friends, relatives of Vladimir Kulikovsky gathered at the Youth Cultural Centre to honor the memory of the outstanding surgeon who devoted his life to healthcare development in the region and headed BelSU Medical Institute. The Rector Oleg Polukhin noted the Dr. Kulikovsky repute, his professional and personal qualities which have created his indisputable renown in Belgorod region.
“His life and energy ensured his great achievements. That makes us grieve more acutely, because Vladimir Kulikovsky left without completing many of his plans for the development of the Medical Institute. Now we all have a great responsibility to cure people, teach students, continue the work to which he devoted his life”, said Oleg Polukhin.
Vladimir Kulikovsky’s daughter Marina Baranova shared her memories. She mentioned implementation of his recent idea to create a museum of medicine of Belgorod region in his small homeland - in Borisovka. At the meeting the University's gratitude letters were awarded to the medical volunteers who helped and continue to help people during the COVID pandemic. Marina Baranova presented each of them with her father's monograph. The program of the evening included performances by BelSU creative groups.
