Participants of several school shifts improved their speaking skills in four foreign languages at the university’s recreation complex “Nezhegol”
For several weeks BelSU students perfected their English, German, French and Spanish skills under guidance of the leading instructors of the Center for Foreign Language Education and Academic Writing and native speakers Valentin Doborovich, Ian Turner, Omar Contreras and Pavel Ngateyo.
According to Anna Merezhko, a teaching methods specialist of the Centre of Foreign Language Education and Academic Writing, the training was focused on strengthening speaking skills.
While communicating with the native speakers, students settled down in language environment through various exercises, master classes, games, artistic contests and debates, getting acquainted with mentality of other countries and specifics of different languages.
The Director of the Centre for Foreign Language Education and Academic Writing Larisa Tsurikova noted that despite all the difficulties, limitations and relatively small number of participants, the International Summer Language School turned to be successful.
