A vibrant music and dance celebration of student community at BelSU

This year the visitors watched a parade of 24 student associations and numerous creative teams, attended exhibitions, interactive activities and master classes.

Activists of BelSU Student Union presented their awards, creative projects and handicrafts at the exposition displays, as well as acquainted with their event programmes for the academic year and informed about the activities of the associations to make it easier for the first-year students to choose their area of interest and join the university cultural life.

Belgorod State University Media Holding decorated the exhibition site with a large-format monitor and informative stands, inviting the first-year students to join the work of student editorial boards.

For those wishing to compete there was a sports area with arm wrestling, darts, checkers, chess and streetball. The essentials included photo zones well-liked by students.

The highlight of the Knowledge Day programme was a dance battle involving the dance groups of Belgorod State University.

At the end of the festive evening the Vice-Rector for Education and Youth Policy of Belgorod State University Svetlana Ostrikova congratulated the event participants - the first-year students and wished them to join the big university family.

According to the tradition, the September evening culminated with the general singing of the university anthem and the lighting cold fireworks symbolizing the “Fire of Knowledge”.
