Studying the history of Belgorod Region

Students of the Engineering College, international students, professors and staff of the university participated in a walking tour.

The route went along the central square of the city and through the Victory Park. The excursion guide was Anastasia Eliseeva, a Senior Researcher of Belgorod State Local History Museum, who told about the ancient history of our region, the tribes that inhabited it at different times, the events of the medieval period and the construction of the defense line, as well as the history of the Victory Park.

According to Inna Kuznetsova, the Director of the Center for Civic and Patriotic Education of the University, such excursions give the participants an opportunity to explore urban historical sites more deeply and imagine themselves as participants in the events of the past times.

The excursion was organized by BelSU Centre of Civic and Patriotic Education.
