Belgorod State University hosted the 9th annual conference on ‘Current Issues in the Development of Economic, Financial, and Credit Systems’
The conference brought together more than 200 economists from across Russia and the CIS, and delegates were welcomed by the University’s Vice-Rector for Economics and Finance, Igor Polevoy. In his address, he stated Belgorod State University’s credentials as a force in science and education, and its rise in the global rankings.
Andrei Belenko, Head of the Belgorod Region Branch of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Main Directorate for the Central Federal District, thanked the university administration for organising the conference. In his key-note speech, he emphasised how the digitalisation of financial services is improving the quality of financial services, and increasing competition in the market. Delegates then gave a number of reports from their perspectives.
The conference contained five themes, Financial and Credit Systems, World Economy and International Business, Digital Technologies in the Management of Socio-Economic Systems, Innovations in Management, and Improving the Financial Literacy of the Region's Population.
