Belgorod State University Centre for Intercultural Communication: five years of friendship, creation and creativity

BelSU Rector Professor Oleg Polukhin welcomed the event participants. He noted that the Centre tried to ensure all the conditions for undergraduates and post-graduates, doctoral students to fulfill their creative potential, to provide a venue for interesting events, cultural and educational activities, discussions and informal communication.

The honorary guest of the event was BelSU Ambassador in Uzbekistan Dilnoz Ruziyeva, the Head of the Department for Quality Control in Education and Research of the Academy of Banking and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan. She informed that over 400 students from Uzbekistan currently study at BelSU and thanked for establishing such a unique centre.

Over the past years the cooperation between BelSU and Karshi State University of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been actively developing. During the event a cooperation agreement on holding joint scientific and scientific-methodological events: conferences, exhibitions, contests, seminars, round tables, symposia and forums was signed between both universities in order to develop science and education in Belgorod and Karshi.

The agreement on opening a joint educational centre aimed at Russian language and culture promotion in the Republic of Ecuador was also concluded. Fernando Muñoz, BelGU Ambassador in the Republic of Ecuador, thanked the university administration for the fruitful cooperation and support in organizing the Centre, which will function on the basis of the International Organization of Russian Universities “Russian University” with the methodological support of BelSU.
