Challenges in teaching Russian as a foreign language on the agenda

The event was held via videoconferencing. The conference was opened by Professor Olga Prokhorova, the Director of the Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations. The Assistant Professor of the Department of Russian Language, Professional Speech and Intercultural Communication Lillia Petrova, the conference moderator, wished the participants a fruitful work.

“Such professionally oriented seminars are a great opportunity both to share the experience of teaching Russian and to involve future specialists - our Bachelor, Master and PhD students - into the teaching community. It is wonderful that in such difficult times we have an opportunity to continue our annual meetings”, said Lillia.

Participants from various cities of Russia, Italy, China, and the Principality of Monaco made reports on topical issues of teaching Russian in a multicultural environment, various aspects of linguistic methods, challenges to increase motivation for foreign students studying on distance. Master students from Belgorod State University took an active part in the discussion.
