The representatives of 34 Russian and foreign universities participated in the “Russian Language Ambassadors in the World” International Volunteer Program following the results of the selection campaign in 2021 and the in-person rounds in Moscow and Pyatigorsk
45 participants were selected among 500 program applicants – 3 boys and 42 girls from 34 Russian and foreign universities became participants of the “Russian Language Ambassadors in the World” International Volunteer Programme. The winner of the full-time selection was Marina Sayenko, a 3-year doctoral student of Belgorod State University specializing in Linguistics and Literary of the Russian Language program.
After the distance selection the contestant was tested in person in the first group of candidates who applied to the “Mashuk” North Caucasus Youth Forum. The candidates competing to be Russian Language Ambassadors were trained by the leading lectures of Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language in Pyatigorsk, attended master classes from the current ambassadors, and demonstrated their skills by solving tasks set by the selection committee.
The previous week the winners of the qualifying rounds attended full-time training at Pushkin Institute in Moscow and received vouchers for their first expeditions to the CIS countries. The BelSU doctoral student travelled to Armenia where she will stay till December 26.
As noted by the organizers, subject to successful completion of the expedition, the volunteers will be recognized by the “A Russian Language Ambassador” title.
At present 270 undergraduate and doctoral students from 90 higher education institutions have been involved in the “Russian Language Ambassadors in the World” International Volunteer Programme.
