Students of Belgorod State University fulfilled the wishes of Belgorod children on the Christmas Eve
During Christmas Charity Run which was organized for the nineteenth time at Belgorod State University, the university students wished the children of low-income families, orphanages and social rehabilitation centres a Merry Christmas and made their wishes come true.
Members of the “Mask” Theatre Studio of BelSU Engineering College headed by Svetlana Khizhnyak, Deputy Director for Welfare and Education, organized a New Year theatrical performance “A New Year Fairy Tale” for children from low-income families and large families under the patronage of Marfo-Mariinsky Sisterhood of Mercy in Belgorod.
Students of BelSU Institute of Law brought magic and joy to children from Regional Children's Home. This year the fund-raising campaign for Regional Children's Home was attended by activists, faculty, staff, and the graduates of the Institute of Law, as well as Anton Ivanov, the Mayor of Belgorod. The raised funds were used to buy fruit and vegetables – the food which is rich in vitamins and minerals and necessary for children in winter.
Students from the campus actively participated in the “Basket of Kindness” event organised in the context of Christmas Charity Run “From a Kind Word to an Act of Kindness”. Students and dormitory staff also collected clothes and food for people being in great straits.
