Belgorod State University brought together leading sociologists from Russia and abroad

The three-day programme of the international forum included four plenary sessions, a round table discussion and united representatives of professional community represented by the public opinion researchers from eight countries. The forum program committee consisted of the leading sociologists and philosophers from Italy, Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to Professor Inna Shapovalova, the main organizer of the event, the Head of BelSU Department of Sociology and Work with Youth and the Editor-in-Chief of the online journal “Scientific Result. Sociology and Management”, sociology is the most responsive branch of science. Sociological practices cover all areas of life. In this regard, it is very important to continuously conduct research and share its results.

The participants of the forum were welcomed by Mikhail Chernysh, the Director of the RAS Institute of Sociology, the Corresponding Member of RAS, Professor Valery Mansurov, the President of the Russian Society of Sociologists, and Mirko Blagojevic, the Chief Researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences in Belgrade (Serbia).

The Russian sociological community was represented by the leading researchers from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Belgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, Ufa, Voronezh, Cheboksary, Tyumen and Rostov-on-Don. The scholars discussed issues related to sociology of social processes and institutions, youth, governance, culture and religion, and reviewed the results of empirical research on these topics at a round table discussion.

A collection of scientific articles will be published based as the results of the forum and will be posted at the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).
