Faster, higher, stronger!

The sports festival “Faster, Higher, Stronger!” dedicated to the Day of Fatherland Defender was held at Preparatory Department of Belgorod State University. The event was co-organized by the Faculty of Physical Education of Pedagogical Institute and supported by the University’s Trade Union Committee.

Valery Timofeev, the Chairman of BelSU Trade Union Committee, and Elena Nazarenko, the Deputy Head of Preparatory Department, the President of the Jury, addressed the participants with felicitation. The jury also included Svetlana Funikova, the Deputy Head of Preparatory Department for Social and Educational Work and Ksenia Vinogradova, the Head of BeSU Dormitories No.1 and No. 3.

The event involved the students of Preparatory Department and Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations.

The sports competition participants demonstrated good teamwork and excellent physical form – they held plank, performed push-ups, competed in long jumps and speed, took part in various contest games. Еhe Salami team defeated the Amor team by a narrow margin. Athletes from Latin America, Africa and Asia received sweet prizes and gave spectators an incredible charge of energy.

As part of the sports festival GTO volunteers also offered international athletes to pass a qualifying standard.
