Drug prevention in the focus

This year the “Children of Russia – 2022” preventive event is held in two stages. It involved all the institutes and colleges of Belgorod State University at first.

BelSU Medical Institute held an information hour on “Additive Substances and Drugs. Consequences of the Use”; the Institute of Geosciences organised preventive work with students’ parents on order to reduce drug abuse among teenagers. The “Choose Life!” book exhibition was organised for students in N.N. Strakhov Scientific Library.

The infographic competition was held at the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technology to promote a negative attitude to illicit drug use and a healthy lifestyle. In turn, students presented information on the negative influence of drugs and positive effect of a healthy lifestyle.

The preventive medical lecture dedicated to explaining the consequences of drug use and its effect on a human body was also held at the Centre for Intercultural Communication.

During the event a 3^rd year the student of BelSU Medical Institute Musalima Ismailova told the international students of Preparatory Department, the university institutes and department about harmful effect of drugs and their irreparable consequences for human health. At the end of the event the participants were proposed to fill in a survey too test their knowledge of the lecture materials presented.
