Arab culture and traditions presented at Belgorod State University

Elena Tsukanova, the Vice-Rector for Discipline and Youth Policy, Vladislav Kuchmisty, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, tutors and students of foreign communities, professors and students of Belgorod State University attended the event.

Elena Tsukanova welcomed all the participants and guests of the event, pointing out that the Arab student community is one of the biggest in Belgorod State University, and its students have been always united by the ideas of friendship and peace.

Vladislav Kuchmisty said that this event was a great opportunity for students to share their rich culture, kindness and just smile to everyone.

The international students prepared a colorful and rich programme, proudly and lovingly introducing the guests to the poetry and music, national traditions and modern culture of the Arab countries. They talked about the identities of the Arab countries, sang national songs, recited poems in their native languages and danced the Dabka, one of the most striking and original dances uniting all the countries of the Arab world.

At the end of the evening, all the guests were treated to refreshments – national Arabic dishes.
