International students of Belgorod State University are the best in futsal

The “Strength in Unity” expatriate community sports festival was held in Belgorod. Six sports competitions organized at the open sites of the city: futsal, arm wrestling, weight lifting, free-style wrestling, tug-of-war and table tennis. BelSU students took an active part in the sports competitions. The “BelSU Lions” team, consisting of international students from Arab countries and Latin America, gained a confident victory in the futsal championship.

Al-Aassi Abbas Walid, the sports manager of the Arab expatriate community and the coach of the “BelSU Lions” team, commented that sport is a whole life.

“We chose an active and healthy lifestyle, and we are very glad that during our study in Belgorod we have an opportunity to participate in sports activities of the university, the city and the region. Belgorod State University is a university of great opportunities,” emphasised the young man.
