The trip participants visited the “Zvonnitsa” Victory Monument, the Church of the First Apostles Peter and Paul, the “The Third Battlefield of Russia” Museum, and the “The Battle for Great Victory Weapon” Museum, dedicated to the heroic deeds of homefront workers during the Great Patriotic War.
The international students walked through the halls of the museum step by step where they learned about the Battle of Moscow, the Battle of Stalingrad and the Battle of Kursk, liberation of Belarus and the Baltic States, the Berlin operation and the defeat of Nazi Germany. It was symbolic that after seeing with their own eyes the biggest tank battle field in world history that changed the course of the Great Patriotic War, the trip participants were invited to visit the apple orchard and the birch forest. It allowed them to realize the great goal of defeating fascism which consisted in bringing peace and understanding that the fascism ideas must not be evoked anywhere on our planet.
