A fifth-year student of BelSU Medical Institute received a grant of 500,000 rubles to develop a training first aid briefcase.
The educational project of Ivan Petrichko, a fifth-year student of Medical Institute, was awarded a grant of 500,000 rubles following the results of the socially important projects competition of the primary departments of United Russia. The author of the idea – the Deputy Head of Belgorod Branch of the International Social Movement “Community of Young Scientists” – has developed a first aid kit portfolio in order to teach schoolchildren the first aid measures.
The fifth-year student came up with the project three years ago, but he managed to draw it up and apply to the competition just now. The allocated grant has been already used for producing and packing the briefcases, design and printing information brochures, branded T-shirts for organizers and participants of events.
The project primarily assumes teaching schoolchildren of the 8-11 grades the first aid measures. The most capable children receive the briefcase as a gift. In the future it is planned to expand the range of trainees and involve students of other grades, as well as those of secondary specialized colleges and universities in the project. There are also plans to develop a mobile application for interactive distance first aid measures teaching.
The members of the “Medical Volunteers” team, having the experience in conducting such master-classes, should be involved in the training activities. 10 Belgorod secondary schools will form a basic venue for the training. According to Ivan Petrichko, the project will start in October, the exact date depending on the briefcase production period. The project is due to be completed by the end of 2022.
