Among the awardees are three representatives of the Medical Institute of Belgorod State University.
In the Energomash Palace of Culture, students-volunteers, volunteers from Kharkov and Belgorod regions, activists of the Popular Front were solemnly awarded the prize "Putin’s Team". The purpose of the award established by the Popular Front is to recognize and support those who make life in the country better, including putting their lives and health at risk.
The laureates were also greeted by Andrei Kovalenko, the Russian hockey player and Olympic champion. He stressed that he was proud of the honorable mission of presenting the prize to those who make people's lives better every day by distributing targeted humanitarian aid to the areas that are not safe at the moment.
Among the awardees are three representatives of BelSU – a sixth-year student of the Medical Institute, Al-Saouafi Mohammed Falih Hadi, a senior Arab student from Iraq, Andrei Korda, a first-year student of the Medical Institute, and Maryam Khalilova, a medical college student.
Every day since the end of February, together with almost four thousand other students from the Center of Volunteer Movement "Good the Creator" of BelSU, they helped refugees in the temporary accommodation, unloaded and sorted humanitarian aid, collected and sent gifts and letters to soldiers.
As the Iranian student noted, Russia has become a second home for him, where he could find his family, and now he is ready to do a lot to help his country in this difficult time.
In conclusion of the award ceremony, creative groups of the Palace of Culture congratulated the laureates with a concert of patriotic songs.
