The “World Dance” musical session organized by the Centre for Intercultural Communication and the university's international student associations brought together students of Belgorod State University from over 90 countries.
The musical session was held in the format of master-classes, where everyone had a possibility not only to watch the dancing performances of different cultures, but also to get involved in the process and even learn some pieces of choreography.
In her welcoming address Natalya Yeranova, the Director of the Youth Initiatives Centre of BelSU pointed out that the most lively, brightest and heartwarming university events involve international students. She expressed hope that holding such musical sessions on a regular basis would become a good tradition.
Students from Central Asia, Latin America, Arab countries, Africa, India and China performed at the session. The event attendees had enjoyed dancing and song compositions performed by international students from different continents.
Kristina Khabarova, the Director of the Centre for Intercultural Communication, announced the upcoming “Music Connect Us” karaoke party featuring a sound engineer and professional singers from the Youth Cultural Centre.
“Anyone can take part in the event: sing a song in their native language or in other languages, listen to famous compositions performed by others, dance, make new friends and just have a good time”, explained Kristina Khabarova.
Sajid Qadiri, the Chairman of BelSU International Communities Board noted the importance of such informal meetings and expressed gratitude to the university administration on behalf of the student community for the opportunity to organize the event at the university dormitory during the period of distance learning.
