Innovations developed by the university’s scientific teams under REC “Innovative Solutions in Agri-Business” Program and import substitution plan have been awarded silver medals at the international exhibition in Korea.
Belgorod State University has become a traditional participant of the 18th International Innovation Exhibition SIIF 2022, which was held in Seoul (Republic of Korea) under the patronage of World Intellectual Property Organization and the International Federation of Inventors Associations.
Silver medal and the honorary diploma were awarded to the scientific import-substitution project on ultradispersed activated alpha aluminium oxide production, headed by Mikhail Trubitsyn, the Associate Professor of the Department of General Chemistry. The project has been implemented by Belgorod State University in cooperation with CJSC “NK” Production and Commercial Firm under the Russian Federation Government Decree №218.
The researchers proposed a way to produce the material based on commercially available raw materials – metallurgical alumina and Bayerian aluminium hydroxide, which can significantly shorten technological process, reducing energy costs and the overall cost of production.
Another silver medal was awarded to project on technology for deep processing of agricultural waste, headed by Professor Alexander Vezentsev of the Department of General Chemistry and developed as part of the world-class REC “Innovative Solutions in Agri-Business”.
