The large-scale event was dedicated to the problems of modern interstate cooperation and importance of involving the young leaders.
The “Interstate Cooperation: New Horizons” International Forum brought together over 250 participants from different countries, including Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Among the forum speakers were academics, civil servants and members of the public.
The programme of the forum was designed for two days. On the first day, the plenary session speakers were represented by Viktor Zakharov, the Director of BelSU Institute of Economics and Management, Victor Sapryka, the Head of the Department of Social Technologies and Public Administration, Yaroslava Pavlyuk, the Chair of the Student Scientific Society of the university and Lyubov Tararyshkina, the Head of the Eurasian Studies Department of Belarus State University.
The participants covered such topics as patriotism and political activism of the contemporary youth, establishment of cooperation with Donbass and the Republic of Belarus, and importance of involving young professionals in science. The “Young Leaders and Geopolitical Instability” round table was held on the first day.
The Forum included thematic sections and master-classes on the best practices in development and implementation of interstate projects, the global economic security, the prospects for development of inter-municipal cooperation and the use of public diplomacy within the framework of municipal cooperation.
At the end of the forum the participants presented their initiative projects in the field of culture, art, development of civil society institutions, social support of citizens and municipalities development to the expert jury, who gave specific practical recommendations.
